With Poetry Aid, I hope to raise over £1500 for UNICEF.

I'm buying the remaining warehouse copies of my 2004 poetry collection "Tails" at a discounted author's price, and then selling them at cover price and donating the difference.

By this means I will be able to raise more than £3 per copy sold for UNICEF.

I will also donate any future royalty payments I receive for the book, and any net revenue from postal delivery charges.

Since any and all profit will be donated, I will make no money from this initiative - but I get to feel good about helping UNICEF.

I also help to support my publisher, Bloodaxe Books - one of the only major UK publishers still willing to take a chance on new poets.

Finally, I hope a few more people will get the chance to read Tails, and maybe like it enough to buy my next book.
